Raspberry Twist
I had the privilege to work with Paso Robles Distillery Trail and Grain and Vine Distillery in preparation for their Distillery Trail. I created this cocktail, Raspberry Twist, to celebrate the big weekend and feature the fantastic Gin from Grain and Vine. I highly recommend visiting Paso Robles and stopping by Grain and Vine. They offer delicious bits to eat and craft cocktails.
Raspberry Twist
2 oz Gin
1/2 oz Lemon Juice
1 oz raspberry verbena syrup (recipe below)
1/2 oz aquafaba (juice from canned chickpeas)
Ice
Dry shake the gin, lemon juice, raspberry syrup, and aquafaba for 30 seconds so the aquafaba is light and fluffy. Add ice and shake for another 20 seconds. Pour, garnish, and enjoy!
Raspberry Verbena Syrup
1/4 cup Raspberries
1/2 cup sugar
2 verbena leaves, torn
1/4 cup warm water
Mash and mix all together until the sugar is melted and the raspberries are broken down. Let sit for at least 20 mins.
