Hello!

Hello! I'm Christiana

Growing up in Whittier, California, I was raised to value hard work and creativity by my parents. Every summer, my mom would make jam from the boysenberries in our backyard, bake bread, and can fruits and vegetables, all while picking up our milk from the local dairy—back when Los Angeles was less crowded. She passed down these invaluable skills to me, and I quickly fell in love with working in the kitchen. In fact, food and cooking saved my life during my first year of high school, and I often reflect on that journey in my blog.

With a background in culinary arts, I now channel my passion into Christiana in the Kitchen, where I create engaging content and recipes that inspire others to embrace seasonal cooking and discover new culinary techniques. Building on this foundation, I founded Christiana's Preserves, a small-batch gourmet jam-making company that celebrates the bounty of local produce. By partnering with local farms and ranches in San Luis Obispo County, I craft delicious jams that reflect the unique tastes of our region. My commitment to quality and sustainability ensures that every jar of jam not only showcases the freshest ingredients but also supports our local agricultural community.

In addition to running my jam-making business, I share my knowledge and passion by teaching jam-making workshops. These hands-on classes empower others to create their own preserves and explore the joys of homemade flavor.

Through my work in both Christiana in the Kitchen and Christiana's Preserves, I strive to connect people with the art of cooking and preserving, making culinary creativity accessible to everyone.
